To get a job in Fashion as the Fashion Marketing Manager you will have previously gained experience working within a Fashion and Retail Head Office environment and will have worked your way up from a Fashion Marketing Co-ordiantor or a similar role. The job role of a Marketing Manager within the fashion industry is to actively develop fashion Marketing plans and the fashion and retail campaigns in order to position the Fashion/Retail Brand within a determined target market.
The Fashion and Retail Marketing Manager will establish fashion marketing, advertising and customer profile research strategies to ensure the goals of the fashion retail business are met and the fashion brand is portrayed correctly.
The Fashion and Retail Marketing Manager will often have a Fashion PR/Marketing Assistant who will report directly into them, but they will also liaise with other departments of the fashion/retail business such as the ecommerce fashion team and the fashion buying department.
The Fashion Marketing Manager will evaluate customer behaviour within the fashion and retail industry, the fashion market conditions and analyse competitor data of other Fashion brands within Fashion and Retail. They will also manage the Fashion Marketing Department's budget and deliver all fashion and retail marketing activity within set budget.
