Womenswear Designer - Maternity Cover

Join this well-established supplier in the womenswear industry, specialising in woven and jersey products, focusing on formal soft separates, tops, blouses, dresses, and skirts, including plus-size / curve ranges. Production facilities are based in Romania and Morocco, ensuring high-quality manufacturing standards.

Role Overview:
The ideal candidate will have experience in designing soft separates, with a particular emphasis on womenswear and curve fashion. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with leading high-street brands and bring your creative vision to life.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop womenswear soft separates collections for our key clients including curve customers.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, fabrics, and techniques suitable for our target market.
- Collaborate with the production, technical, and sales teams to ensure designs meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing.
- Manage the design process from concept to final product, ensuring timely delivery.
- Attend fittings and provide feedback to ensure the perfect fit and finish.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in designing womenswear, particularly soft separates.
- Experience in curve fashion design is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of fabric properties, garment construction, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent drawing, sketching, and illustration skills.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills.

Working Hours and Benefits:
Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
Close knit team,10 staff members, including production, technical, design, and sales professionals.
