Product developer - accessories and homeware
Our client is a highly successful and sought after brand. They have experienced significant growth over the last few years and are expanding accordingly.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within their team for an experienced product developer to work on accessories, gifting and homewares.
The role:
• This is a very varied role, working across multiple product areas to produce products that will elevate and enhance the brands lifestyle
• You will be responsible for the end -to-end development of any new product areas which sit outside of the main fashion categories.
• You will create new products through design and brand placement for any collaborations
• You will produce CAD designs to a high technical standard and manage all technical specifications
• You will work closely with the design team to create extensions of existing products for special brand moments and events
• You will interact daily with factories/vendors to problem solve as needed
• You will be responsible for ensuring that each of the products created, are produced to the desired specifications, quality and price
The position is based UK, but travel, during peak product design/development seasons and production may be required
The ideal candidate will have:
• A relevant design or industrial design qualification to BA (Hons) standard or equivalent
• Previous experience in similar role
• Must have a strong understanding of the creative and technical aspects of product development
• Have a strong team collaboration and networking attitude
• Passionate about product with a high attention to detail.
• Must be flexible and able to work in a fast -paced environment
• Must strive for continuous improvement in process and product specifications.
• Proficient IT user including use of CAD, Photoshop and illustrator
