Retail Supervisor

The job role of a Retail Supervisor within the fashion industry involves being responsible for overseeing other employees, primarily sales staff and possibly other workers. Retail Supervisors carry out the requests of management in motivating, training and possibly disciplining employees. They also may be the go between of management and sales, getting each side to understand the needs of the other. The Retail Supervisor activities include overseeing employees, to look for high levels of customer service, training sales assistants and dealing with sale queries.

Additional job responsibilities of a Retail Supervisor depend on the fashion retailer you are working for. Some Supervisors perform stock inventory, merchandise, or are responsible for book keeping. Others may have the job of Supervisor without having that much extra responsibility. To get a job as a Supervisor for a fashion retailer you will need to have worked as a Sales Assistant within relevant fashion companies.
