Working within fashion as an Area Manager or Regional Manager, you'll have overall responsibility for all your company's stores in a large area, possibly including several counties. An Area Manager/ Regional Manager will also assume responsibility for all the staff within the fashion retail company, which could mean as many as 60 - 80 members of staff per store.
The job of Area Manager or Regional Manager, is likely to include delivering growth, maximising sales and profitability, providing your team with a stimulating and supportive environment, maintaining and increasing standards of customer service and other areas across your shops, driving team performance and controlling training and development of your staff. As an Area Manager or Regional Manager for a fashion retailer you will work alongside other senior managers and store and department managers.
To be a good Area Manager or Regional Manager within retail you'll need a wide range of skills, including communication and customer service. To get a job as an Area Manager/Regional Manager you will have worked your way up from retail sales experience to a store supervisor, and then a store manager all within a fashion retail environment.
